The Emergency Room of the Future

Given the recent rise in Emergency Room initiatives and the IOM's report of 2006: Emergency Rooms at the Breaking Point, Vector has undertaken an extended series research projects to establish the state-of-the-art emergency room design and best practices.  The ultimate goal of this effort to produce a self-evaluation and planning tool that hospitals can use to evaluate the root causes of operational and financial problems in the emergency room, formulate specific remediation efforts, and measure the success of these over time.
